How it all started...
With a passion to see the Kingdom of God expand in North Carolina and beyond. The Hyman's (Jamal, Sabrina, Judah and Selah at the time) moved from Washington D.C. area to Kinston, NC to start a Church Planting Residency at Grace Fellowship Church.
After 15 months, Goldsboro, NC became the location that the Hyman's (Jamal, Sabrina, Judah, Selah and Shiloh) and a core team from Grace Fellowship Church would plant Abide Bible Church. The team started off in August 2023 as a HouseChurch. The HouseChurch meet from August 2023 to February 2024 before establishing the church.

Expanding the vision...
Then on February 25, 2024, an inauguration service was held to establish Abide Bible Church. Abide Bible Church was established with 8 members (Allen & Renee Chambers, Micah & Emily Hooten, Colin & Christie Burnett, and Jamal & Sabrina Hyman) and 3 Elders (Allen Chambers, Dr Rob McArthur, and Jamal Hyman.
Where we are headed...
Now, Abide is taking time to cultivate a healthy multiethnic kingdom culture church. We are building and developing deep rooted relationships so that we can live abiding lives in Jesus to reach our community and beyond.
We seek to know Jesus, walk with Jesus, go with Jesus so that His Kingdom will continue to spread through our church to wherever He leads and guides us.
